Women Judges soon to be appointed in SC, says CJP

 Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa says that there will be the appointment of women judges in the Supreme Court soon.

Addressing the third women judges’ conference in Lahore, The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that every citizen, including minorities, has equal rights in the constitution.

He said that the judiciary is ensuring the protection of women’s rights; in cases, there is a need for some relaxation on women’s bail.

CJP said that the Women’s Judges Conference will encourage women in the field of law; the judiciary is working on a priority basis to protect women, provide them justice.

The role of women in society is very important, they have to be empowered in all walks of life, and we have women judges working in the dominant society of men.

He also said that the Holy Qur’an has repeatedly called for the delivery of justice; Allah Almighty loves those who do justice.
