Mandi Bahauddin’s court gave the verdict on a pending acid attack case since 2008, sentencing the miscreant to 30 years imprisonment and a fine.
According to the details, Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Mumtaz Dogar of the Mandi Bahauddin court has sentenced the culprit Azhar Shah to 30 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 32 lakh for the crime he committed.
No mercy for acid attack offenders, rules CJP
According to the prosecution, 11 years ago, miscreant Azhar Shah threw acid on his relative, Samiya after raping her.
Sadar police station had registered the case against Azhar Shah under sections 376, 336, and 365b and arrested the culprit.
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Mumtaz Dogar sentenced the miscreant to the most severe punishment, ruling the case in light of the witness’ statements.
