An anti-polio campaign has begun across Pakistan from Monday (today). The campaign will be conducted considering standard operating procedures (SOPs).
According to details, 20 million children aged from 2 to 5 years will be given anti-polio vaccine during the five-day drive in Punjab. A spokesman of the Punjab Health Department reported that one hundred twenty thousand health workers will participate.
Furthermore, 9 million children aged under five will be given shots of the anti-polio vaccine in Sindh during the campaign that will last for a week.
Moreover, more than 6.4 million children aged up to 5 years will be given the shots during the five-day campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Apart from that, two hundred forty-two thousand children aged up to five years will be given the vaccine shots in Gilgit Baltistan.
More than sixty-six hundred thousand children will be given the anti-polio vaccine in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The Emergency Operation Center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that thirty thousand teams have been directed to visit door-to-door to administer the vaccines to children.
Earlier in January, a five-day Polio Vaccination campaign began across the country to vaccinate over 40 million children under the age of five.
According to the details, a supplementary dose of Vitamin A drops was administered to the children aged 6 months to 5 years during this campaign to help build general immunity to protect them from polio and other diseases.
