Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif’s plea seeking permission to cast vote for Senate elections has been rejected by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
As per the details, the election commission mentioned that vote cannot be cast anywhere other than National Assembly.
Shehbaz Sharif was seeking permission to cast his vote for Senate elections in Lahore.
ECP has issued production orders for imprisoned members of the national and provincial assemblies so that they could be involved in the voting process of the Senate election.
