Russian Federation Special Forces’ contingent arrived in Pakistan for 2 weeks long joint exercise DRUZHBA 5.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise is aimed at sharing both armies experiences in counter-terrorism domain. Sky diving & hostage rescue operations will be highlights of the exercise.

It may be recalled that the first Pak-Russia DRUZHBA exercise was held in Pakistan in 2016. In 2017, the second DRUZHBA exercise was held in Russia and the third in Pakistan.
The fourth DRUZHBA Pak-Russia joint military exercise was held in Russia in 2019.
