Security forces killed seven terrorists, including three Afghan nationals, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on September 20 after reports of the presence of what it called Indian-sponsored Khwarij belonging to Fitna al Khwarij.
The ISPR said in a statement that during the operation, Pakistani troops targeted the hideout of the Khwarij and killed seven Indian-sponsored militants. Among them were three Afghan nationals and two suicide bombers.
It further said that a sanitisation operation was in progress to clear the area of any remaining terrorists. The statement added that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eliminating the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
