Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a strict decision that from October 1, anyone driving without a valid license will face legal action. Such drivers will be arrested and their vehicles will also be impounded.

Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi, has directed traffic officials to fully implement this crackdown. After October 1, if any driver is caught without a license, they will be booked in a case and taken into custody.

Under the new rules, both the driver and the vehicle will be kept at the police station. This law applies to private drivers as well as government drivers.

Sources have said that people caught driving without a license will not be issued character certificates until they obtain one. There will also be no option of personal guarantees for their release, making the enforcement even stricter.

To help government employees, Islamabad Traffic Police has arranged licensing services at their offices. This has been done to make the process easier and ensure that government drivers complete their licensing before the deadline.

Authorities have asked citizens to get their licenses as soon as possible to avoid action. Officials explained that this campaign is part of efforts to improve traffic management and reduce accidents caused by unlicensed driving.
