Swat: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Swat and nearby areas, including Mingora and Buner, on Thursday morning, causing panic among residents. People rushed out of their homes and buildings in fear as the ground shook for several seconds.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale and struck at a depth of 185 kilometers. The epicenter was near the Afghanistan–Pakistan border in the Taksan region.
No casualties or property damage have been reported so far. However, the tremors created fear and anxiety among residents. Local authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and rescue teams have been placed on alert.
