Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has paid rich tribute to the martyrs, war heroes, and all personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the occasion of Air Force Day.
In his special message, the President stated that the nation salutes its martyrs and ghazis who laid down their lives in the defense of the motherland and displayed unparalleled courage and bravery.
Recalling the 1965 war, President Zardari said that the Pakistan Air Force wrote a glorious chapter of valour during the historic battle, which will be remembered for generations to come. He noted that the PAF not only demonstrated exceptional professionalism and morale during the war but also stood tall in every moment of national adversity.

He further added that the PAF played a decisive role in the operation “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” (Wall of Steel), giving a befitting response to the enemy on every front, earning the pride and admiration of the entire nation.
President Zardari emphasized that the world has been amazed by the PAF’s outstanding professional capabilities, and its modern advancements continue to serve as a strong guarantor of national defense.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Air Force has always defended the country’s airspace and sovereignty with utmost dedication, which remains a source of great pride for the nation.
