PM Shehbaz meets Palestinian delegation, Assures full cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Palestine during a meeting with a high-level Palestinian delegation in Islamabad.

The delegation was led by Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, Advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Sharia Court. The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ahmed Hussein, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan also attended the meeting.

PM Shehbaz extended warm wishes to President Mahmoud Abbas and praised the courage and sacrifices of the Palestinian people. He assured that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice for Palestine’s rights at every diplomatic platform.

Expressing deep concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, the Prime Minister said Pakistan will keep sending humanitarian aid to the affected people.

The Palestinian side thanked Pakistan for its consistent support, highlighting that the Pakistani nation has always stood by Palestine in difficult times. They also expressed sympathy over the recent floods in Pakistan.

During the meeting, a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas was also handed over to the Prime Minister. Federal ministers Ishaq Dar, Attaullah Tarar, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, and Tariq Fatemi were present on the occasion.
