The Punjab government has announced a public holiday on Saturday, September 6, 2025, to mark 12th Rabiul Awwal (Eid Milad-un-Nabi, PBUH).
The official notification states that all government and private offices, the Civil Secretariat, administrative departments, and outpatient departments (OPDs) across the province will stay closed on this day.
Since September 7 is already a Sunday holiday, people in Punjab will enjoy a two-day break over the weekend.
Muslims across Pakistan and around the world observe 12th Rabiul Awwal every year with religious gatherings, processions, and recitations. The day, which falls in the third month of the Islamic calendar, holds deep significance as it commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
