Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and the recent victory in the “Battle for Truth.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated, “On this day, we bow in gratitude before Almighty Allah.” He added, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the nation on the completion of 78 years of Pakistan.”
Paying tribute to national heroes, the Prime Minister said, “We salute the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the philosopher of Pakistan Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and all the visionary leaders and tireless workers of the freedom movement.”
In his message, President Zardari remarked that “these past 78 years have been a journey of trials, unwavering faith in Allah, and hope for a bright future.”
He said that Pakistan has crossed many milestones of progress and achievements in various fields.
Referring to the recent conflict imposed by India from May 6 to May 10, 2025, the President declared that Pakistan’s great victory in the “Battle for Truth” has added new significance to the 78th Independence Day.
Reaffirming the nation’s commitment to sovereignty, defense, and protection, President Zardari emphasized Pakistan’s belief in peaceful coexistence in the region and the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic dialogue.
