KARACHI: The Karachi Traffic Police have issued a special advisory for motorists ahead of the Independence Day and “Marka-e-Haq” celebrations at the National Bank Stadium tonight.
The traffic police expect congestion to begin as early as 5:00 pm on all roads leading to the stadium and continue until 2:00 am, as the event starts at 6:00 pm. They advise citizens to avoid unnecessary travel between Civic Centre and the stadium during this time.
This year’s Independence Day theme, Marka-e-Haq, marks the nation’s resilience and pride after the April–May confrontation with India, which ended with a ceasefire on May 10.
