Mumbai: A short and strikingly candid resignation letter has achieved viral status across the internet, drawing widespread acclaim for its refreshing honesty rarely seen in today’s job market.
The letter, attributed to Dayitva Shah, was brought to public attention via a LinkedIn post by Shubham Gane, founder and CEO of Hinglish, a Mumbai-based content firm. Composed in Roman Hindi, the employee’s message was remarkably blunt: “Hi Sir, Mai Bik Gaya Samny wali Company 4 paisa Jada de Rahi hai”
Gane’s accompanying playful caption, which praised the note’s unvarnished truthfulness as “an honest resignation,” rapidly propelled the post into virility. It subsequently ignited a flurry of commentary and lighthearted responses across various social media platforms.
The employee’s directness was a popular point of discussion among users on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter). One user noted, “At least he told the truth no corporate buzzwords, just facts.” Another humorously mused on a manager’s likely retort: “Let me know if they’re hiring.” The letter’s straightforward nature has clearly resonated, sparking conversations about candor in professional exchanges.
