A tragic incident occurred in the Narmuk area of Kalat district, Balochistan, where unknown gunmen opened fire on a passenger coach traveling from Karachi to Quetta. The attack left three people dead and seven others seriously injured, spreading fear and panic in the area.
Security forces, the district administration, and rescue teams quickly reached the scene. They cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to find the attackers. According to a government spokesperson, efforts to track down the assailants are ongoing.
Rescue teams moved the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Kalat, where an emergency has been declared. Doctors have confirmed that some of the injured are in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll may rise.
So far, it remains unclear whether the attackers targeted civilians randomly or if the coach was a specific target. Security agencies are investigating all possible angles.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind strongly condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly act. He assured the public that the attackers would be brought to justice soon.
