Haseebullah Khan denies rumors of moving to England

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s young and promising wicketkeeper-batsman Haseebullah Khan has dismissed rumors circulating on social media about his alleged relocation to England to pursue a long-term cricketing career.

Speculations recently emerged suggesting that the 22-year-old cricketer had left Pakistan to seek opportunities in English cricket. However, Haseebullah took to Instagram to clarify the matter, calling all such reports “baseless and unfounded.”

The left-handed batter emphasized his commitment to Pakistan cricket, putting to rest concerns among fans and followers about his potential exit from the national setup.

He wrote, “I want to inform you that I have arrived in England in connection with my domestic county contract and other responsibilities.”

“I am determined to represent my country Pakistan with full dedication and passion,” he said.

The national cricketer asked the fans not to believe in any rumors and wrote, “I request everyone not to pay attention to false news and rumors, Pakistan is alive”

The clarification comes after a viral Facebook post claimed that Haseebullah had met with agents linked to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to discuss his future in English cricket. The post triggered widespread speculation on social media about his possible departure from Pakistan’s cricket setup.

It is worth noting that Haseebullah has played three T20 Internationals for Pakistan, scoring 36 runs at an average of 12.
