Kuala Lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister stated that India cannot stop or divert Pakistan’s water. In response to India’s measures, Pakistan also took strong actions, including closing airspace for Indian airlines in retaliation for the Indus Waters Treaty violations.

Speaking at an event with the Pakistani community in Kuala Lumpur, Ishaq Dar stated that India took a strange step by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty. He clearly told India that stopping Pakistan’s water would be considered an act of war.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that in response to the actions taken by India under the pretext of the Pahalgam incident, Pakistan has given a similar response. Pakistan has offered an impartial investigation to India in Pahalgam incident.

Ishaq Dar claimed that brave Pakistani pilots shot down six Indian aircraft, including four Rafale jets. He also accused India of deliberately dropping two missiles in Sikh populated areas. The Indian narrative has not gained international acceptance.

He added that during a meeting of the National Security Committee, a decision was made to respond firmly to India. At 8:30 in the morning, the US Secretary of State called and said India wants a ceasefire. The military situation remains tense, and it appears that India’s political leadership is unable to accept defeat.

Ishaq Dar mentioned that traveling to Kabul for tea and opening borders for terrorists has caused Pakistan significant harm. Pakistan is not pursuing traditional diplomacy but is engaging in economic diplomacy.

He stated that every Pakistani living abroad is an ambassador of the country. Pakistan has started to recover despite difficult economic conditions. In 2016, Pakistan’s growth rate was 3.6%. By 2022, Pakistan was on the verge of default. His goal is to include Pakistan in the G20.
