Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, delivered a speech at the commissioning parade of the 123rd Midshipmen and 31st Short Service Commission Course, issuing a stern warning to India, reiterating Pakistan’s unequivocal stance on Kashmir, and urging the nation to remain united.

The Army Chief said it was an honor for him to review the impressive passing out parade of the maritime warriors. He noted that the exemplary turnout and enthusiasm of the cadets reflected the high standards upheld by the Pakistan Naval Academy.

He described the successful cadets as a symbol of the nation’s hopes and expectations and especially commended the award winners. He also congratulated cadets from friendly countries including Türkiye, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, and Djibouti on completing their training.

The Army Chief highlighted that the cadets were about to become part of the Pakistan Navy, an institution known for its exceptional military ethics, remarkable skills, and unmatched professional traditions.

He advised the cadets to continue striving to enhance their operational capabilities, stressing that the domain of naval warfare is evolving rapidly and Pakistan must adapt accordingly. Maintaining a strong and effective maritime force has become indispensable for Pakistan’s security.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that India consistently exhibits an arrogant and aggressive posture, seeking political gain through its military might, nationalism, and fabricated strategic importance.

He recalled that India twice carried out unwarranted attacks on Pakistan under the pretext of counterterrorism operations, which were thwarted by Pakistan’s strong and effective response.

He warned that if the enemy assumes Pakistan will tolerate any future attack on its sovereignty, it would be a grave miscalculation. Pakistan will defend its sovereignty and national interests at all costs.

Referring to verses from Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Aal-e-Imran, the Army Chief said that the nation’s resolve has strengthened further during times of trial. He accused India of deliberately creating regional tensions but reaffirmed that Pakistan will carry its fight against terrorism to a successful conclusion.

He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and vowed that Pakistan would continue its political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri cause. He concluded by stating that while enemies may attempt to hinder Pakistan’s progress, the country is steadfastly moving towards a brighter future.
