In light of the holy month of Ramadan, the Sindh government has rescheduled the matriculation and intermediate examinations for 2025.

The decision was taken on Tuesday during a steering committee meeting of the Sindh education department, chaired by Provincial Minister for Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah.

As per the revised schedule, matric theory exams will now commence on April 7, while intermediate theory exams have been postponed to April 28. Initially, the SSC and HSC exams were scheduled to start on March 15 and April 15, respectively.

Additionally, the committee decided that matric practical exams will begin on March 10, while the schedule for intermediate practical exams will be announced later.

The meeting also confirmed that the new academic session will commence on April 7 in Sindh. Previously, it was decided that schools would begin the new academic year on April 1, 2025, while colleges would start their session from August 1, 2025.

The summer and winter vacation schedules will remain unchanged, with summer holidays set from June 1 to July 31, and winter break from December 22 to December 31.
