Revised school timings announced for Ramazan

In Punjab school hours have been adjusted for the holy month of Ramazan.

As per the new schedule, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, while on Fridays, they will close earlier at 12:30 PM.

For schools running in double shifts, the first shift will take place from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

On Fridays, the second shift will begin at 2:30 PM and end at 5:00 PM.

However, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene on the evening of Friday, February 28 (29th Shaban) to observe the Ramazan-ul-Mubarak 1446 AH moon.

As per the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the main meeting will take place at the Auqaf Department building in Peshawar, while zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will hold their sessions at their respective locations.

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in the federal capital.

The final decision regarding the Ramazan moon sighting will be announced by Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, after reviewing all collected reports.
