ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has approved the appointment of 10 additional judges to the Peshawar High Court(PHC).
A judicial commission chaired by Chief Justice Pakistan Yahya Afridi was approved the appointment 10 additional judges to the Peshawar High Court.
According to sources, Farah Jamshed, Aamirullah Khan, Mudassar Ameer, Sabit Ullah and Aurangzeb have been approved to appoint Additional Judges.
In addition, Abdul Fayyaz, Salahuddin, Sadiq Ali, Tariq Afridi and Aurangzeb Khan will also be appointed as Additional Judge in the Peshawar High Court.
According to sources, the agenda of the appointment of 9 additional judges was under consideration at the Judicial Commission meeting, but during the meeting, the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court demanded 10 additional judges on which Chief Justice Pakistan agreed.
Sources said that 10 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court have been appointed by the majority.

Despite objections raised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members, including Barrister Gohar, Ali Zafar, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Law Minister, the commission approved the appointments by majority vote.
