Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, visited Gaddafi Stadium today to review the ongoing renovation work. He inspected different floors and hospitality boxes, ensuring that the finishing work met high standards.
During his visit, Mr. Naqvi checked the quality of railings placed in front of the boxes and assessed the view from the seating areas. He emphasized the need for fast yet high-quality completion of the renovations.
“The finishing work should be completed fast, but quality must be maintained at all costs,” he stated.
Mr. Naqvi confirmed that the stadium is nearly ready, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif set to officially inaugurate it on February 7.
Once renovations are complete, cricket fans attending the Champions Trophy matches will enjoy upgraded facilities at the stadium. The PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Sameer Ahmed, also briefed Mr. Naqvi on the progress of the work.
The renovation aims to enhance the fan experience and modernize the stadium, ensuring it meets international standards ahead of the upcoming tournaments.
