A slight earthquake jolt Sibi and its nearby areas in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The earthquake struck at 1:37am local time, with a recorded intensity of 4.1 on the Richter scale, according to the National Seismological Center in Islamabad.

The earthquake originated at a depth of 35 kilometres, with the epicentre located around 124 kilometres northeast of Sibi.

Whereas the earthquake was felt across the area, there have been no instant reports of damage to property or injuries.

Sibi, located in Balochistan, is no stranger to seismic activity, as the region lies in a seismically active zone.
