ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee experienced a slight depreciation of 0.06 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs278.17 compared to the previous session’s Rs278.11.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs277.70 and Rs279.20, respectively.
The exchange rate of the euro saw an increase of Rs1.22, closing at Rs292.28 against the previous day’s rate of Rs291.06, as per data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen remained stable at Rs1.81. The British pound appreciated by 0.20 paisa, closing at Rs351.44 compared to its earlier value of Rs351.24.
Additionally, the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal saw marginal increases of 0.02 and 0.01 paisa, respectively, closing at Rs75.73 and Rs74.02.
