Huawei has officially launched the Maextro S800, a luxury sedan designed to compete with elite automakers such as Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce. Developed in collaboration with JAC, this debut vehicle under Huawei’s Maextro brand represents a significant entry into the high-end automobile market.

With pre-sale prices ranging from €124,320 to €186,510, the S800 is set to rank among the most expensive cars manufactured in China. Measuring 5480 mm in length, 2000 mm in width, and 1536 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3370 mm, the S800’s dimensions place it in the top 0.01% of vehicles globally in terms of size, according to Huawei’s smart car unit chairman, Richard Yu. This large executive sedan is tailored for affluent buyers seeking a premium experience.

The S800’s design merges classic luxury with futuristic aesthetics. Initially available in two colors—purple-silver and all-black—the car features distinctive flatbread-style wheels and a rounded front grill that lends a softer, elegant look. Lighting is a standout element, with LED light bars complementing the main headlights, a “Milky Way” pattern enhancing the overall design, and illuminated door handles adding a sophisticated touch.

Inside, the sedan offers a luxurious ambiance, highlighted by a “starry sky” roof and two rear seats designed for maximum comfort. Spy images suggest a three-screen dashboard setup, emphasizing modern technology integration.

Huawei has equipped the S800 with advanced features, including level 3 self-driving capabilities supported by a roof-mounted Lidar unit. The sedan integrates intelligent systems like autonomous driving, smart cockpit, and domain control through Huawei’s second-generation Turing platform. Additional features include Super Cruise, Super Maneuverability, Super Awareness, and Super Privacy, aiming to redefine the luxury driving experience.
