Court summons Pervaiz Elahi in money laundering case on Nov 28

LAHORE: The Special Central Court Lahore has issued an interim written order in the money laundering case against former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and others.

Special Central Court Judge Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh issued the written order.

The Special Central Court has summoned Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in personal capacity for the upcoming hearing in the Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) ​​money laundering case.

The court summoned the head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating money laundering. The interim written order asked that the JIT itself pursue the matter related to Moonis Elahi’s red notices and arrest from abroad.

According to the interim written order of the court, according to the prosecutor, Perveez Elahi is not seriously ill and according to the prosecutor he is participating in other events.

According to the written order, Assistant Director Moonis Elahi, including other commercial accused, should submit a report on the extension of the period of seizure of the properties of the accused.

The court will hold further hearing on November 28.
