Samsung is set to launch an affordable version of its popular Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone in 2025, called the Galaxy Z Flip FE. This new model aims to offer all the foldable features at a lower price point, making Samsung’s foldable technology more accessible to a wider audience.

Recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, which is also expected to be used in the Galaxy S24 series in certain regions.

This is a significant development, as it contradicts earlier reports that suggested the Z Flip FE would have fewer features to reduce costs. The Exynos 2400 chipset provides a cost-effective alternative to the Snapdragon 8 series, making it a suitable choice for a budget-friendly foldable phone.

The move to use Samsung’s Exynos chipset instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips in select regions could mark a shift for the company in its foldable phone lineup. While current models like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Galaxy Z Flip FE may be the first foldable to feature Samsung’s own silicon.

Additionally, the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip, expected in the second half of 2025, could feature the upcoming Exynos 2500 chipset, furthering Samsung’s push for in-house chip development in its foldable devices.
