In a recent interview, Kartik Aaryan addressed the frequent comparisons made between him and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.

Kartik, a longtime fan of Akshay, expressed that he feels he cannot be placed on the same level as the iconic actor. He said, “Main bachpan se dekh raha hoon. For me, it’s a different thing jab log bolte hain toh mujhe thoda ajeeb lagta hai ki kaise is cheez ko mai bolun.” This translates to, “I have been watching him since my childhood. I feel weird and speechless when the audience compares both of us.”

Kartik Aaryan noted that the comparisons began after Anees Bazmee’s 2022 film, which led audiences to draw parallels between the two actors. He acknowledged that such comparisons are unrealistic and expressed a desire to work with Akshay Kumar on a comedy film in the future, calling it a “great project.”

In another segment of the interview, Kartik was asked whether he had ever taken on a role solely for financial reasons. He admitted, “I was in a phase where I didn’t have enough money and I had to do it. I didn’t think I had another option barring that.” He explained that he felt pressured by the lack of opportunities at the time.

Kartik Aaryan has starred in several films, including Akaash Vani, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and Shehzada. He was last seen in Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion earlier this year.
