In a stunning underwater ceremony, Saudi couple Hassan Abu Ola and Yasmine Daftardar celebrated their marriage in the Red Sea near Jeddah. Both experienced divers, exchanged vows surrounded by colorful coral reefs and vibrant marine life in one of the region’s top diving spots.
The unique wedding was organized by Saudi Divers, a local diving group led by Captain Faisal Flemban. He provided the couple with diving gear and surprised them with an underwater celebration. A small group of fellow divers attended, creating an intimate yet adventurous atmosphere.

Describing the experience as unforgettable, Hassan Abu Ola said, “After we geared up, Captain Faisal and the team told us they had planned to celebrate our wedding right there under the sea. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience,” he told Gulf News.

Yasmine wore a white gown with diving gear, while Abu Ola donned a tuxedo, perfectly fitting for their ocean-themed vows. Hassan noted that the event was well-planned, stating, “Alhamdulillah, there were no challenges. The celebration went smoothly, and everyone was amazed by how unconventional and spectacular it was.” He hopes their wedding will inspire others to explore the underwater beauty of Saudi Arabia and contribute to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision.
