Yesterday, news reports revealed that a dance troupe filed a complaint against Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle D’Souza, and several others, accusing them of duping the group out of Rs 11.96 crore. As the news quickly spread, the celebrity couple addressed the situation on social media, clarifying that they would present their case in due time.
Taking to Instagram, Remo Dsouza and Lizelle Dsouza dropped a collective statement against the news reports alleging they cheated dance troops of Rs 11.96 crore. In the note, they wrote, “We have learned through media reports that someone has registered a complaint alleging fraud involving a certain dance troupe.” It’s disheartening that such information has been published. We would like to request everyone to abstain from spreading rumors before ascertaining true facts.”
Their statement further read, “We shall put our case forward in due time and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every way possible like we have done so far. We would like to thank our family, friends, and fans for the outpouring of love and continuous support. Love always. Lizelle & Remo.”

According to news agency PTI, a 26-year-old dancer filed a complaint against Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle, and several others. Subsequently, on Saturday, the police announced that they had officially registered a case against the accused in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly cheating a dance troupe out of Rs 11.96 crore. Furthermore, an official explained that the Mira Road police station registered the case on October 16 against Remo, Lizelle, and five others under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating), along with other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
The FIR reportedly claims that the 26-year-old dancer and his troupe were allegedly cheated on between 2018 and July 2024. The complainant also mentioned that the dance troupe performed in and won a reality TV show, but the accused allegedly pretended the group belonged to them and claimed the Rs 11.96 crore prize money.
