Samsung is gearing up to release the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, a larger and thinner variant of the Z Fold6, which is expected to launch on October 21. However, this model will be exclusive to the Korean and Chinese markets, based on current rumors.
In addition to the Z Fold Special Edition, Samsung is also preparing to launch another device in China, the W25 Flip, a special version of the Galaxy Z Flip6. This edition comes with a redesigned back panel and has been certified by TENAA, a mandatory step before sales begin.
The W25 Flip has the same dimensions as the Z Flip6 but weighs a bit more at 198g, likely due to the use of different materials. The device boasts a 6.7-inch 1080×2640 folding touchscreen, along with a 3.4-inch cover display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and is equipped with a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP secondary camera, and a 10 MP front camera for selfies.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition may be branded as the Samsung W25 in China, with the model number SM-W9025. The W25 Flip is identified as SM-W7025. Both devices will bring premium folding designs to select markets in the coming weeks.
