LAHORE: During the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Connection Camp, cricketers voiced strong concerns about the board’s NOC (No Objection Certificate) policy for foreign leagues.

According to insiders, national players confronted PCB officials, acknowledging their own performance shortcomings but stressing that mental well-being is crucial for improvement.

The players urged a review of the NOC policy, citing inconsistencies in how it was applied among players. They also criticized the PCB for delays in issuing NOCs and not providing timely responses.

In response, PCB Chairman directed COO Salman Nasir to reassess the NOC-related concerns raised by the players.

PCB officials expressed dissatisfaction with the timing of these grievances, saying financial and NOC issues should not have been brought up during the camp.

Players, however, emphasized that while discussions on player surgeries have been held, the board needs internal reforms. They noted that the internal environment significantly affects their mental health, and they felt they were not being treated fairly.
