PR completes 40% restoration work of bridge damaged in Quetta  

LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways has successfully completed 40 percent of the restoration work on a bridge damaged by terrorism in Quetta, Balochistan.

Pakistan Railways spokesperson confirmed that ongoing work was being carried out in two shifts under the supervision of Railway Chief Executive Officer Aamir Baloch.

The spokesperson assured that the bridge would be ready for train operations by October 15. He emphasized that the restoration was being managed with the railway’s own resources.

Once security clearance was received, the rail connection between Balochistan and the rest of the country will be immediately restored.

Earlier,  Pakistan Railways has reduced the fares of passenger trains from August 03 to benefit travelers across the country.

Railways spokesperson said the reduction has been made for all classes of passenger trains.

Spokesperson Railways said that the AC class ticket has been reduced by Rs 100 to Rs 150, while the economy class fares have been reduced by Rs 50.
