Isolated rains likely in upper parts of Islamabad, Pakistan

Isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in northern parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

A continental air mass dominates most of the country, while a shallow westerly wave affects the northern and western regions.

Under these conditions, sporadic rain and winds are likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, with occasional gaps. Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.

Similarly, Rawalpindi’s temperatures will range between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.

In the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan experienced hot and dry weather. Nokkundi was the hottest place, with a maximum temperature of 41°C, while Bhakkar and Sibbi recorded 40°C.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature reached 34°C with evening humidity at 54 percent, and Rawalpindi recorded a maximum of 34°C with 49 percent humidity in the evening.
