The Hurun India Rich List also highlights Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the wealthiest actor, with assets totaling INR 7,300 crore ($880 million). Despite Chawla’s reduced presence in films, her diverse ventures have contributed to her substantial fortune, placing her in an exclusive category where no other Indian actress has yet crossed the INR 1,000 crore mark.
The 2024 Hurun report also notes a rise in ultra-wealthy individuals in India, with 1,539 people now holding assets exceeding INR 1,000 crore.
