Terrorists killed 23 travelers in Musakhel, Balochistan, after forcing them off trucks and buses early Monday morning.
The incident occurred when armed individuals intercepted vehicles on the inter-provincial highway in the Rarasham area, as confirmed by SP Musakhel, Ayub Achakzai.
The terrorists conducted an identity check before opening fire on the passengers. Following the attack, the militants set ten vehicles on fire. Local police and Levies forces quickly arrived at the scene, transferring the bodies to a nearby hospital.
The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack and expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives.
He offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and assured them that the government would take strict action against the terrorists and their facilitators.
The CM has ordered a thorough investigation and sought a detailed report on the incident.
