National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) is the competent authority to issue National Identity Cards and Smart NICs to the citizens of Pakistan.

NIC is the basic identification document in Pakistan, providing a unique identification number to each citizen.

It is the first requirement for individuals as it is mandatory to obtain documents like a license, NTN, bank account, passport, cellular connection, etc. Every citizen of Pakistan, 18 years and above, is eligible for NIC.

Nadra Smart CNIC Fee Structure in August 2024

As of August 2024, the normal fee for a New Smart National Identity Card is Rs750. For urgent processing, the fee is Rs1,500, while the executive category currently costs Rs2,500.

Where to Apply For ID Card

If you are applying for the first time, you will be required to visit any nearby Nadra Registration Centre along with the required documents, including a birth certificate or matric result card and a CNIC copy of a family member.
