Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is heading to the United States for urgent medical treatment after an eye procedure in Mumbai didn’t go as planned.
On July 29, Khan visited a Mumbai hospital for an eye treatment, but complications arose, prompting the need for further care. A source shared, “Shah Rukh Khan had an eye treatment at a Mumbai hospital on Monday, but things didn’t go as expected. He’s now being flown to the USA for additional treatment.”
Specific details about what went wrong during the procedure haven’t been shared publicly.
This latest health scare follows an earlier incident where Khan suffered a heat stroke on May 21 while attending an IPL match in Ahmedabad. He was briefly hospitalized but discharged the next day.
His recent health troubles have caused concern among his fans and colleagues. During his hospital stay in Ahmedabad, both his wife, Gauri Khan, and long-time friend and KKR co-owner, Juhi Chawla, visited him. Chawla later assured fans that Khan was recovering well.
Khan, who was last seen in the film “Dunki” (2023), is also working on Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming project, “King.”
