More rains and gusty winds likely in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sindh

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moderate monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are moving into the upper and eastern parts of Pakistan and are likely to extend to central and southern regions starting July 29.

Under these conditions, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are forecasted for Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, and Mirpurkhas on Sunday night.

On Monday and Tuesday, similar weather is predicted in Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Karachi, Jamshoro, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu, with isolated heavy falls likely during this period.

Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 33-35°C on Monday and 36-38°C on Tuesday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 40-42°C on Monday and 39-41°C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of the province over the past 24 hours.

Sukkur was the hottest place in the province, with a maximum temperature of 42°C. Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro recorded 41°C, and Nawabshah 39°C.

In Karachi, the maximum temperature reached 36°C, with evening relative humidity at 79%.

In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was 37°C, with evening relative humidity at 75%.
