The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) is the official body responsible for issuing the Child Registration Certificate (CRC) or B-form for all minors in Pakistan.
This certificate is essential for registering a newborn with the authorities, ensuring the child’s fundamental right to identity from the place of origin.
To obtain a CRC, parents must provide documented proof of the child’s birth from the union council. Additionally, at least one parent must hold a National Identity Card (NIC) or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). According to the regulations, parents are required to register their children within three months of birth.
