ISLAMABAD – More monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are moving into the upper and central parts of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly wave affecting the upper regions of the country.
Under these conditions, monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, upper Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday night. Isolated heavy rainfall is also expected during this period.

- Islamabad: Maximum temperature expected to range between 33-35°C on Thursday and 32-34°C on Friday.
- Rawalpindi: Maximum temperature expected to range between 34-36°C on both Thursday and Friday.
In the last 24 hours, rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pothohar region, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and lower Sindh. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Jacobabad recorded the highest temperature in the country at 47°C. Sibbi, Nokkundi, and Dalbandin recorded a maximum temperature of 46°C.
Relative Humidity:
- Islamabad: Maximum temperature recorded at 34°C with 62% relative humidity in the evening.
- Rawalpindi: Maximum temperature recorded at 33°C with 56% relative humidity in the evening.
