Karachi, July 4, 2024: Recent cloudy skies have brought much-needed relief to Karachi residents from the intense summer heat, accompanied by cooling sea breezes. As anticipation builds for the monsoon rains, the Meteorological Department predicts their imminent arrival.

Today, despite extensive cloud cover, Karachi’s temperature is expected to peak at 37 degrees Celsius. High humidity levels of 70% will contribute to continued hot and humid conditions over the next 24 hours.

Looking ahead, the Met Department forecasts that Karachi will experience rainfall starting July 8, offering a welcomed reprieve from the prevailing weather conditions.

Meanwhile, in Lahore, early morning rain has already cooled down the city, creating a pleasant atmosphere. According to meteorologists, intermittent rainfall will persist throughout the day, further reducing temperatures.

The monsoon has officially commenced in Lahore, marked by widespread cloud cover and significant rainfall across various areas including Mall Road, Garhi Shahu, Railway Station, Brandreth Road, Gulberg, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Calvary Ground, Walton, DHA, Wahdat Road, Kalma Chowk, and Garden Town.
