The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is responsible for issuing the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
This card is available to any eligible Pakistani citizen who is going abroad or already resides overseas.
With a NICOP, citizens with dual nationality can travel to Pakistan without needing a visa. A passport number is required when applying.
Where to Apply for NICOP
You can apply for your NICOP in two ways: by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website.
NADRA Registration Center (NRC)
To apply at an NRC, follow these steps:
- Get a token.
- Have your photograph taken.
- Provide your fingerprints and signature.
- Complete the data entry process.
- Review and confirm your printed application form.
- Receive a printed version of your application form.
Pak-Identity Website
Alternatively, you can apply for a Smart NICOP (SNICOP) online through the Pak-Identity website and have it delivered to your doorstep.
NICOP Fee for Sweden
NADRA has two fee structures for NICOP, categorized into Zone A and Zone B. Sweden falls in Zone A. The fees for a new NICOP in Zone A are as follows:
- Normal fee: Rs 11,340
- Urgent fee: Rs 16,589
- Executive fee: Rs 21,820
