ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) could not have decided whether to support or oppose the forthcoming budget being presented on June 12 (tomorrow).
PPP Parliamentary party met Chairman Bilal Bhutto Zardari in the chair at the Parliament House, here on Tuesday.
The parliamentary party, which will meet tomorrow again, is set to decide whether it will back or oppose the budget.
Sources said that PPP members registered a number of complaints against PML-N in the meeting, alleging that no work of the PPP is not being done in Punjab.
The members also complained that they were facing a number of issues in the province, adding that the party was victimized by the provincial government.
Earlier in the day,
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on President Asif Ali Zardari, here on Tuesday and discussed overall economic and financial situation in the country.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on proposals regarding provision of relief to the people in the upcoming budget.
President Asif Ali Zardari said the government should take special care of the poor and the middle class sections of the society in the budget.
Both the leaders also discussed development projects in the next budget. The Prime Minister apprised the President about his recent visit to China.
The President assured the Prime Minister of his cooperation in country’s development and achieving economic targets.
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal was also present in the meeting.
