Isolated rain likely in upper parts of Islamabad, Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts hot and dry weather in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and across most of Pakistan for Tuesday and the subsequent two days.

Continental air prevails over the majority of the country, with a shallow westerly wave affecting northern areas. Consequently, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and many other regions will experience hot and dry conditions, particularly in central and southern plains.

However, there may be partly cloudy weather with light rain or thunderstorms in isolated areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the evening and night.

Maximum temperatures in Islamabad are expected to range between 40-42°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, while in Rawalpindi, they are predicted to be between 39-41°C during the same period.

Over the last 24 hours, hot and dry conditions prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of the country, with exceptionally hot weather in southern regions. However, scattered rains were reported in some areas.

Bhakar remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. The maximum temperature in Jacobabad and Sibbi was recorded at 46°C, Mohenjo-Daro, Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Khairpur, Noorpur Thal, Rohri and Sukkur at 45°C.

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 22 percent.

In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 15 percent.
