The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts scattered rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of the country from Tuesday through Thursday due to a shallow westerly wave.

Maximum temperatures are anticipated to range from 40-42°C in Islamabad on Wednesday and 39-41°C on Thursday, while in Rawalpindi, temperatures are forecasted to be between 39-41°C on Wednesday and 38-40°C on Thursday.

Despite these upcoming changes, heatwaves persisted in the plains of the country over the last 24 hours, with temperatures exceeding normal levels by 3 to 6°C in various areas. Mohenjo-Daro and Nawabshah registered the highest temperatures nationwide at 52°C, followed by Dadu and Jacobabad at 51°C, and several other cities at 50-49°C.
