ENG vs PAK: 50% chance of rain duting third T20I in Cardiff

  • Pakistana nd England will play third T20I today.
  • There is a 50% chance of rain in Cardiff.
  • England lead the series 1-0.

Today, Pakistan is set to compete against England in the penultimate T20I of their four-game series at Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens.

The match, however, might be affected by weather conditions, as The Weather Channel forecasts a 50 percent probability of rain throughout the day and a 40 percent chance in the evening.

The game is scheduled to start at 10:30pm Pakistan Standard Time, which corresponds to 6:30pm local time.

England currently holds a 1-0 lead in the series, having secured a victory in the second T20I last Saturday with a 23-run margin.

The series opener in Leeds was called off last Wednesday due to rain, with not a single ball played.

The series finale is set to take place at The Oval this coming Thursday.

Both teams are playing their final series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which kicks off on June 1 in the United States and West Indies.

England, as the reigning T20 World Cup champions, are looking to defend their title after their 2022 victory over Pakistan in the final at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia.

Moeen Ali, England’s all-rounder, reflected on past experiences: “We have learnt a lot from the mistakes we made in the ODI World Cup and skipper Jos and management don’t want to do it again. You can’t just turn up in the World Cup and think you going to win games. World Cup is different pressure but we have been there before and would like to do it again and guys are really looking forward to it.”
