Originally scheduled for May 21-27, the matric exams for classes 9 and 10 had to be postponed due to the anticipated heatwave in Sindh. The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BSEK) took this step to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the examination period.
Following directives from Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ali Malkani, the BSEK announced the postponement and assured students of a revised timetable. The new schedule was officially issued by the board office, providing clarity to students and educational institutions alike.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz provided reassurance by stating that there is no imminent threat of a heatwave in Karachi for the upcoming week.
