KARACHI: Sindh is bracing for a full-day pause in gas supply as the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announces a day-long “gas holiday” affecting all sectors, including industries, power generation units, and CNG stations.
Starting from 8 am on Sunday, May 19, until 8 am on Monday, May 20, the halt is attributed to a shortfall in gas supply, resulting in decreased line pack and pressure levels.
SSGC issues a stern warning against any violations during this period, stating that industries found breaching the gas holiday risk a seven-day gas disconnection.
This bold move emphasizes the severity of the situation and underscores the importance of adhering to the gas holiday to manage the available resources efficiently.
