ISLAMABAD: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi called on President Asif Ali Zardari here.

The president congratulated the governor on assuming the office.

Faisal Karim Kundi thanked the president for reposing trust in him and appointing him as the governor.

President Zardari instructed Governor Kundi to work for the betterment of the people and expressed good wishes for him.

Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari has accorded his approval to the appointment of Governors for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

After approval, Sardar Slaeem Haider Khan has been appointed as Governor Punjab, Faisal Karim Kundi as Governor KP and Jaffar Khan Mandokhel as Governor Balochistan.

The president approved the appointments under Article 101 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.

Chairman Pakistan People Party  Bilawal Bhutto announced the nomination of governors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
